The ROC Army Aviation and Special Forces Command Released a Press Release Explaining the Matter Regarding the Media Coverage of “602 Brigade Soldier Killed in Car Accident”.

The ROC Army Aviation and Special Forces Command stated that soldier Li from Aviation 602 Brigade crashed with a scooter operated by a civilian (no DUI from either party) when travelling through Sec.2, Dongshan Road of Taichung City on a scooter today (9th) morning; soldier Li was pronounced dead after emergency treatment at the hospital, and the entire case is being investigated by the Taichung Police Department.

The ROC Army Aviation and Special Forces Command hereby express the deepest regret regarding this incident; apart from cooperating with the police to clarify the responsibilities, the command has also sent cadres to assist the family with making funeral arrangements. In addition, the command has used this incident as a propaganda example to continue to reinforce the education on driving safety and the concept of defensive driving for the affiliated officers and soldiers in order to ensure their safety.
